.

I served in the Marine Corps 57-59. Parris Island was my permanent duty station and I was in Communications (MOS 2500) where I was a Depot Switchboard Operator. When I left the Marine Corps I was the Chief Depot Operator. I also played on the women’s varsity softball and basketball teams.

My civilian working career was all in communications. When I retired in 2003 I was the Communications Technician for the city of Cranston, RI overseeing systems for City Hall, Police and Fire Departments and the Senior Center.

I joined the Marine Corps League in 2002 and was appointed Chaplain at my second meeting. Have served as Chaplain every level up to and including NE Division which I was appointed to when Rich Gore was Division Commandant and I have been reappointed ever since.

I have served in many offices, rose to Detachment Commandant, Department Commandant and currently serve as temporary Detachment Chaplain as well as Division.

Several years ago I organized a Color Guard for Kent County Detachment . This has now become the Department of RI Color Guard with all Detachments participating..

In 2006 I was inducted into the Chapel of Four Chaplains Legion of Honor.

In 2012 I was honored to be the Division Marine of the Year.
